If you’re looking for a place where modern comfort meets historic charm, then this is the perfect place for you. The Windmill is a Hotel, Wedding and Events Venue situated in the middle of the historic market town of Alford, in rural Lincolnshire.

This grade 2 listed building dates back to the 18th century and is full of history and character. Rest easy in our recently renovated rooms while soaking in the history of the Windmill, the story of Thomas Paine and viewing our blue plaque from the national heritage initiative.

Alford itself is full of historic interest with a working 5 sailed windmill, 17th century manor house and a 14th century church. The town is also known for the Alford Craft Market, established in 1974, the Craft Market shop and the Craft centre.

Quiet and picturesque with good road links in all directions, Alford is a great base for exploring rural Lincolnshire, situated on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds and just 7 miles to the East Coast.
